This safari covers the entire Maasai Mara with incredible game drives in the rich, tree-studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plains game, black-maned lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and virtually every type of wildlife in Kenya. In season, from July to October, you will enjoy the most spectacular and thrilling display of wildlife behavior across the Mara River. This is popularly known as the great migration of wildebeest and zebra.

Day 1 Nairobi - Maasai Mara
You will be picked up from your hotel or airport by your driver for a departure to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, stopping at the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley, and then having lunch at Narok. You will arrive at the Mara in the afternoon, check in and have a short rest before you enjoy your afternoon game drive in the reserve, which is famous for its high animal concentration, abundance, and variety. You will search for the Big Five with game drives across the grassy plains of the Maasai Mara National Reserve before returning to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2 Explore Maasai Mara
After breakfast, you will begin your spectacular full-day game drive, which will allow you to spot the magnificent wildlife in the park. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best times to spot animals as they are most active. This is the time that the big cats are most active and can provide some of the most dramatic photography.
You will drive down to the Mara River, site of the great migration (when in season – July to October). The immense herds of wildebeest and zebra are a magnificent sight, matched only by the drama of the predators who lie in wait for them.
You may want to take advantage of several optional events we offer at an extra cost. Experience a visit to the local Maasai people in their nearby village. Want an unforgettable sight? Take a pre-dawn hot-air balloon ride high above the reserve as the morning light breaks across the golden savannah and witness the herds of wildlife emerging into the day.

Day 3 Maasai Mara - Nairobi
On your last day, you'll wake up very early to prepare for the morning game drive in Maasai Mara. After the game drive, return to the lodge for a full breakfast, then depart for Nairobi by road. Lunch will be served en route. You will arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon.
